Eco-Filament

Repurposing plastic waste into 3D printer filament for tools and toys.

From Plastic Waste to Useful Products

Eco-Filament repurposes suitable, cleaned, and sorted plastic waste into 3D printer filament used to develop toys and tools for students with sensory needs. Plastic that is not safe or suitable for filament is handled through appropriate cleanup and recycling channels instead of being presented as filament-ready material.

Volunteers can help with cleanups, sorting, and outreach. Volunteer-hour documentation is available for eligible, supervised activities after participation is confirmed. Parents and guardians can use the Get Involved page or email us. Discord is only for participants age 13 and older.

Print Tools

Cleanup work can involve sharp litter, heat, and machinery. Participants follow event-specific safety instructions, PPE guidance, and adult-supervision requirements.
